GATED SHIFT BALL MARKER

Sale price$85.00

A defining detail of analog performance, cut into stainless steel.

The Gated Shift takes its form from the exposed shift gate found in the great manual supercars of the late analog era. The layout is immediately familiar. Reverse offset, six forward gears, each position precisely defined within the gate. What was once a functional guide for deliberate mechanical movement translated here into a clean, machined surface.

There are sounds from that era that never fully leave. The mechanical click of a gear finding its slot. The short throw between ratios in a car that was built to be driven hard and rewarded you for knowing how. The gate wasn't just a guide. It was a conversation between the driver and the machine. Every shift a small confirmation that you were paying attention and the car was responding in kind. That kind of feedback disappeared when the paddles arrived and nothing has replaced it since.

Machined from 303 stainless steel with a fine linear brushed finish, the Gated Shift carries the same material honesty as the components that inspired it. The recessed pattern adds depth and subtle contrast without overcomplicating the design. Honest, mechanical, and built around the kind of tactile detail that defined an era before it disappeared entirely.

A simple object. But one that anyone who understood those cars will recognize the moment they pick it up.
